Roman Bilinski joins Trident
a driver with Polish roots will start in Formula 3

‘I want to follow the path set by Robert Kubica’

Roman Biliński

The 17-year-old Trident racer is an exciting talent within Polish motorsport. This season he will compete in the regional Formula 3 championships. The Italian Trident Motorsport team announced that Roman Bilinski has been contracted for the 2022 season for Regional Formula 3

“We had the opportunity to see Roman in action during the last two days of winter testing and we immediately realised that we have a highly motivated and passionate young man in front of us. – says team boss Maurizio Salvadori. – He has great chemistry with the team and the car, showing excellent adaptability and speed. We are very pleased to welcome him to Trident Motorsport, and our mutual goal is to achieve great results,”

Salvadori.

Trident Motorsport is a racing team founded in 2006 by former Italian racing driver and entrepreneur Maurizio Salvadori. Thanks to the great commitment of its staff and the use of state-of-the-art technologies, the Trident team successfully competes in two racing series – Formula 2 and Formula 3. Last season it won FIA Formula 3 Team Champion. This is a great opportunity for further dynamic development of the young Bilinski’s career.

“I am extremely excited to join the Trident Motorsport team. This is a dream come true for many young drivers. I want to represent the white and red colors with dignity and follow in the footsteps of Robert Kubica, who blazed a magnificent trail – the road to F1, and then wrote a beautiful chapter in the history of the “queen of motorsports”. I believe that in such a professional team as Trident Motorsport, which has a well-prepared car, I will be able to fight for the highest goals. I’ll do everything in my power to make the world of racing know about another Pole”

Roman Biliński

Roman’s partner will be the German driver Tim Tramnitz. By hiring Bilinski and Tramnitz, the Trident Motorsport team cemented its ambitions and approach as it intends to bet on young, promising drivers, introducing them to the great world of racing.

Roman Bilinski – the hope of Polish motorsport
Roman Bilinski, despite his young age, already has a clear plan for life – he wants to follow in Robert Kubica’s footsteps and achieve successes in Formula One. As we all know, the road to this goal is long and winding, but thanks to his determination and hard work the Pole makes great progress and each year he is progressing through series.

Since his debut in single seaters Roman Bilinski has been systematically improving his skills and at the same time raising the bar by moving up to higher and higher racing series. In the 2022 season he will compete in Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA), which is short for regional, European Formula 3. And from here it is only a small step to the world championship of this series.

Regional Formula 3 – what is it?
A total of over 30 competitors will take part in the championship behind the wheel of identical, single-seat Renault 1.8-litre, 270bhp turbocharged cars. The cars accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds, reach 200 km/h in less than 8 seconds, and can reach a top speed of almost 300 km/h.

The race weekends include two Friday practices, as well as two qualifying sessions on Saturday and Sunday, and two races with F1 scoring. The winner earns 25 points, the second-place finisher 18, the third-place finisher 15, and the runners-up 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1.

Debut in April at the famous Monza circuit
There are 10 races on the 2022 calendar. The first round will be held at Monza from 22-24 April, and two weeks later the drivers will compete at another famous Italian venue – Imola. Later in the season, the drivers will also visit Monaco, France, Holland, Hungary, Belgium, Austria and Catalonia, and the series will close with a round at the legendary Mugello circuit in Italy.
