Roman Bilinski impresses on his Debut in New Zealand

Poland’s Roman Bilinski marked an impressive debut in the 2024 Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Championship, securing victories in both races at Taupo International Motorsport Park. Piloting for M2 Competition, Bilinski not only claimed the Denny Hulme Memorial Trophy but also established an early series lead with consistent and strategic performances.

In the final race, Bilinski showcased patience and precision, starting from third and making precise passes at the Taupo circuit’s final corners. Expressing gratitude to his team, Bilinski emphasized their solid race pace, signaling optimism for the upcoming championship races.

The victory solidified Bilinski’s lead in the championship standings, placing him alongside legends like Lando Norris on the unique Denny Hulme Memorial Trophy. As the championship reconvenes at Manfeild – Circuit Chris Amon, Bilinski aims to continue his early-season dominance.

In the first race, Bilinski displayed prowess in wet conditions, starting from the front row and leading the field. Despite challenging track conditions, his strategic acumen and flawless driving allowed him to control the race. Bilinski’s decision to opt for slicks on the drying surface proved effective, leading to a six-second victory.

The upcoming races will undoubtedly showcase more of Bilinski’s skill and determination in the Castrol Toyota FR Oceania Championship. The motorsport community eagerly anticipates further thrilling battles as Bilinski asserts himself as a formidable force in this high-stakes competition.
